Pho Nam Cali

I was told by a friend that the translation of Pho Nam Cali is Pho Southern Cali. And with that said, perfect name for its location!

If you're not from Paradise Hills/National City, Pho Name Cali is a new pho restaurant that opened up at the corner of 8th and Euclid. This spot is one of those places that seem to close down and reopen as something else. I don't think it's because of location though. That corner is a pretty busy area so you would think that business would be great. So I think the right place just hasn't made its appearance yet... until now... maybe. haha. I mean, you cant go wrong with pho. right?

mini review:
-The place is small. Similar to Noodle House(also in National City) before they expanded.
-They have fried calamari and shrimp on their menu as appetizers.. and get this... PAPAYA SALAD! which i have yet to taste.
-Some things on the menu weren't available, like my usual Avocado Shake with boba, but thats ok... they just opened. I'll let the slide. ha
-No Vietnamese sandwhiches
-They take Master/Visa. Although Noodle House has been around for years, they are still "CASH ONLY" :[
-food quality can be a little better.
-but how was the pho? The pho was good. I would definitely go back for the pho. yummmmmmmmm!

I'd still recommend the place even though they still need some work. This place is so convenient for us Southeast San Diegans that are lazy to drive sometimes. haha. Its literally walking distance from my moms.. awwwesome!

Update on those plants Aleyna and I planted on Mothers day
Zinnia.Chives.Sunflower.Basil. and Pepper(which is not growing at all)

Mothers Day

Worked the morning shift on Mother's Day. Afterwards, headed to my moms. I use to give her flowers but she would always say "dont waste your money" even though i knew deep down that she loved them. We tend to forget about the most simplest smallest things that people love, so this time i passed by Chow King and bought my mom her fave Buko Pandan Shake.

I got planting kits from target that were only $1 each, awwwesome! so later that day, Aleyna, Jacob and i planted Zinnia, Sunflower, Tomato, Basil, Chives, and Red Pepper. Hopefully they actually grow and stay alive! haha. Maybe i can harvest some crops during this great depression and make some money. hahahah just kidding.

anyways, heres a mothers day facebook post from a friend that caught my attention.

"Anybody can give birth. But it takes a special woman to be a mother." (rommel tan)

This is the problem...... Guys!

that was my facebook post today.

now before you start thinking im sexist or that im just being mad at the world.... let me explain the meaning behind my post. Of course this is all from my own personal female perspective of guys and relationships. (some may agree...some may disagree)

There are three different Males.
1. Boys- the youngest of the three and hasnt reached true maturity. the newbie. "this is my boyfriend. ;]"

2. Guys- just like "the middle child". the one still finding himself. sometimes he wanders off and comes back... and sometimes he just continues to wander. "im dating this guy. well.. i think were dating"

3. Men- the eldest and the matured one. "the one." "the Man of the House" "one woman man"

now back to my post.

the problem isnt the Boys because we all know that they just started the growth spurt; trying to learn ways in life and relationships. everyone deserves that start.

the problem arent the Men either. if you really considered yourself as a Man then you would be mature enough to do what's right. If something was done wrong, the Man would know to fix it the best way he can cuz hes "been there done that".

Now lets take the Guy. The transition from Boyhood to Manhood. Have you heard of Guyhood? I dont think so. This Guyhood is something just floating in the air. Its a period in time where the guy tries to find himself. Questions/Thoughts begin to boggle their mind.... Is this the right girl for me?  Should I date around? I need to be single. I need to date different girls. Oh no this is getting serious. I dont want commitment. and Then OUCH! The female gets heart broken. The female hates the guy. "Guys Suck!"... right? On the females side, if she has learned her lesson, she now knows better than to take the guy back UNLESS she knows hes ready to be a Man for her; OR she can also choose to move on and find someone thats already a Man. A Man that has passed this imaginary stage of Guyhood that doesnt even exist, according to dictionary.com..

yep, go ahead and search it
1. boyhood: the state or period of being a boy
2. guyhood- no dictionary results
3. manhood: the state or time of being a man or adult male person; male maturity.

did i make any sense?

to females: if youre single and dont want to get hurt again... dont fall too easily for just ANY guy that comes your way. look/fall for a man. someone that knows who he is already and what he wants in life. there are some girls out there patient enough to stick through their boyfriends "guyhood" and wait for him to come back a Man... if you can do that then good for you. if you take him back as STILL a guy.. then remember, dont have any regrets, because that was your decision not his.

heres a funny comic. enjoy.

note: there are also 3 females- Girls, Ladies, Women..
but its more fun to give my view of the opposite sex than my own. haha.

many people say...

"you live. you learn. you move on."
and i agree. BUT, i think there are many that do not truly understand the meaning to this.

if youre finding yourself encountering problems that youve experienced before and outcomes keep repeating itself... guess what? you probably didnt learn what was needed to be learned.... so you havent moved on. why do you think the same situations keep coming up again?

so...
you live. you learn. you move on.
but if you havent learned... you havent moved on.
